Post-renovation duct cleaning in Mississauga.
Drywall dust is extremely fine — it enters return air vents during renovation work and can recirculate through your home for months. A deep clean removes it completely.
Construction debris,
completely removed.
Any renovation that involves cutting drywall, framing, concrete, or tile will push fine particles into your return air system. Without cleaning, that debris recirculates every time your HVAC runs — coating surfaces, triggering allergies, and settling into furniture for months.
- Drywall dust — the most common renovation contaminant
- Sawdust, insulation fibres, silica particles
- Full system clean — every supply, return, and trunk line
- Custom quote based on renovation scope and home size
- Applicable to basement finishes, kitchen renos, full renovations
- Sanitization add-on recommended for maximum effect
Best time to book
Ideally within 2 weeks of the renovation completing — before you move furniture back in. Open rooms give us better access to registers and make the job faster.
If you're planning a renovation, consider asking your contractor to tape over vents during drywall work. It won't prevent all contamination, but it reduces what enters the system.
Four steps.
The most thorough clean.
Post-renovation jobs are the most debris-heavy we do. Expect 2–4 hours depending on your home size and renovation scope.
System assessment
We walk the system before starting — assessing debris load, locating all supply and return registers, and identifying any duct sections that may need extra attention.
Truck-mounted vacuum
Our truck-mounted HEPA unit creates negative pressure across the entire duct system. All debris is drawn toward the collection point — nothing is pushed back into the home.
Air scraper + air hammer
Pneumatic agitation tools break drywall dust and debris loose from the duct walls, where it's immediately captured under negative pressure. This step is what separates a real clean from a surface vacuum.
Before & after photos
We photograph representative sections of the system before and after. You can see exactly what was removed — not just take our word for it.
Common questions.
Still unsure? Call 647-891-2594 and ask Avtar directly.
How soon after a renovation should I get duct cleaning?
Ideally within 2 weeks of the renovation completing — before you move furniture back in. This improves access to registers and prevents construction debris from circulating any longer than necessary.
What debris ends up in the ducts?
Primarily drywall dust, which is very fine and travels through return air vents during active work. Also sawdust, insulation fibres, silica particles from concrete or tile cutting, and general construction particulate.
Do I need sanitization after a post-renovation clean?
Worth considering. Drywall dust creates an environment where mould can take hold, especially in humid conditions. Sanitization after the deep clean eliminates any spores that survived the mechanical clean.
How long does post-renovation duct cleaning take?
Usually 2 to 4 hours depending on the scope of the renovation, home size, and how much debris entered the system. We'll give you a realistic estimate after a quick walkthrough.
Does this cost more than a standard duct cleaning?
Often yes — there's significantly more debris and the job takes longer. The quote will reflect the actual scope once we assess the system. Call 647-891-2594 to discuss your specific renovation.
